24 - Towline
Towinglines require high strength and high elongation to absorb shocks. Another important requirement is very high resistance against abrasion. Flexibility and good grip are important for managing the lines like making knots. We advise towinglines made of polyester. A polypropylene towingline is sometimes used for small boats or bouys. It is cheaper than polyester and floats.
For towing bigger yachts we can make special towing lines. These are made with a Y-bridle for shock absortion combined with a towingline made from Dyneema or Stirotex. Please contact us for more information.
