New and officially presented by Seldén during METStrade this November 2023 - Series S-Winch, two speed, self-tailing, ART!
The latest development in winch design comes from Seldén with a brand new series of manually operated, double gear winches from size 30 to size 66. All winches feature a clever designed self-tailer and the new ART design for smooth easing of ropes under load.

What is ART - Asymmetric Rib Technology?

Seldén has developed a unique pattern to style the winch drum with ribs, which provide additional friction to hold the rope. Any sheet or halyard under load will become slightly dented, where it rests over a rib. When creating uneven spaces between the ribs in an asymmetric pattern, the line will not jump simultaneously to the next rib when easing. That makes for smoother easing of sheets and halyards and reduces the impact on the rope.

When will the new Seldén S-Winches be available?

Official unveiling will be on the METSTrade in Amsterdam this November. We expect to have the winches available for delivery in time for the spring season 2024
